Pattinson set for massive share in £300m Twilight bonanza

London Robert Pattinson may end up with a multi-million pound share of earnings from the latest project in the hit Twilight series.

The 22-year-old, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, was said to be set for a double treat from the series based on books by Stephanie Meyer.

Bosses at Summit Entertainment were allegedly mulling splitting the final novel, Breaking Dawn, into two parts after the latest film, New Moon, raked in the nearly 300 million pounds in just two weeks of its opening.

“It’s an extraordinary cash cow and the company wants to keep it going for as long as possible. They’re giving very serious consideration to the idea,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

The source added: “A lot of cheque-waving and glad-handing would have to happen if the plan goes ahead. No one is locked into a fifth movie so the key talent could be looking at multi- million pound pay days.”

Terence Doyle, editor of British Film Magazine, also said: “Pattinson is central to the franchise and could basically name his price. Right now he’s the biggest star of his generation.”

Robert Pattinson talks about his role in Breaking Dawn

Robert Pattinson talks about his role in Breaking Dawn in his interview released by The New Zealand Herald today.

Here's the excerpt:

"I had three days off between Remember Me and Eclipse and then I’ve had to start learning Comanche and bareback riding for Unbound Captives. I don’t only want to do the same part. I’m doing Bel Ami, based on the Guy de Maupassant novel in January as well, and I don’t really know how I’m going to fit that in. I have to gain weight – but I don’t think they’ll let me put on much as I have to shoot the final Twilight movie afterwards. I have to look older, as the character Georges Duroy has been living hard for a good six years just getting drunk all the time. So I want to look a bit haggard,"

This revelation made me more excited about the Breaking Dawn Twilight Series. I'm sure all of us wants know more, so just stay tuned for more updates.

Kirsten Prout as Lucy in 'Eclipse'

Another casting news has come in for "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" as the name of Kirsten Prout emerges. The representative for Prout has confirmed through E! Online that the 19-year-old actress has indeed been tapped to take on the part of vampire Lucy in the third "Twilight Saga" movie.

As Lucy, Prout will play a prominent part of Jasper's backstory. She is expected to share screen with the previously announced "Eclipse" cast member Catalina Sandino Moreno who stars as Maria since their characters build a vampire army together.

Canadian-born actress Kirsten Prout is best known for her role as girl-next-door Amanda Bloom on ABC Family's "Kyle XY". She has also starred alongside Jennifer Garner in 2005's "Elektra", playing Garner's protege named Abigail "Abby" Miller.

"The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" is an adaptation of the third novel from Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series. Knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf, Bella Swan once again finds herself surrounded by danger while she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob in this movie.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return as Edward and Bella. Bryce Dallas Howard takes over Victoria from Rachelle Lefevre, and Xavier Samuel is picked up to portray Riley. This follow-up to "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is scheduled for a U.S. release on June 30, 2010.

'New Moon' Secrets Stolen

While these posters can join the Taylor Lautner shirtless promo in the fan made castoff bin, I have to say, these Twilighters certainly know their way around Photoshop. Must've come from all those hours superimposing their heads on Kristen Stewart's body.

But what isn't fake is the report that a totally legit "New Moon" script was recently discovered by a fan in the trash outside a Missouri set. Casey Ray was the lucky lady who got her hands on what could have been the most valuable item ever put up for auction on eBay!

Sadly, her moral compass eventually pointed her toward a righteous path and she returned the script! "We thank Ms. Ray for doing the right thing," Summit Entertainment said after the young lady disclosed her discovery.

Now, I like to view myself as an ethical dude -- who doesn't -- but I can't say with any sort of certainty that I'd have done the same thing if a script with the words "New Moon" scrawled across the front came into my possession.

Then again, I don't spend my afternoons dumpster diving, although now that it's become clear the cast is just chucking their scripts into any old trashcan, I definitely might start!
